Deer Coloring Sheet | Szarvasos poszter

I created this illustration for #fablemay2021, a lovely Instagram art challenge created by some awesome Hungarian illustrators (make sure you check the hashtag on Insta, it has so many beautiful artworks). It was inspired by an ancient Hungarian myth, 'The Miraculous Deer'. According to this 13th-century legend, (preserved in the Gesta Hunnorum et Hungarorum chronicle) while hunting, two brohers, Hunor and Magor saw a miraculous white stag (sometimes described as golden). They pursued the animal and it led them westward into Levedia, where they married two princesses and they became the founders of the Huns and the Magyars (ancestors of Hungarians). Source.

Ezt az illusztrációt a #mesésmájus2021 Instagram kihívásra készítettem eredetileg (amit egyébként néhány nagyszerű magyar illusztrátor indított). Érdemes megnézni a hashteg alatt a rajzokat Instán, rengeteg gyönyörű alkotás született! Az én képemet a Csodaszarvas legenda inspirálta (az angol leírásban linkeltem róla egy rövid ismertetőt, de magyarul azt hiszem nem kell bemutatnom :)).
